I love chai—karak (kah-rak) chai, specifically. It’s rich, bold, and unlike anything most people have had the chance to taste: a blend of culture and familiarity.
That’s why I brought my family’s recipe to Notre Dame and offered a mug to anyone who passed by my door.
Knott Hall, Room 328, became a place where friends could unwind after a long day of classes. The experience drew people in; tea was simply the medium. It’s also how David and I became friends.
Together, David and I gave my recipe a name: Black Chai. We want everyone to share in the experience we found in Room 328, so we’re bringing it to you. We hope you love the tea and that, wherever you are, you find a Room 328 of your own.
Best,
